Workout at the Proving Ground with Jay and Julian Meares

Last night we has a good lesson from Jay Meares and his son Julian (who is a sprinter and a football player) on the basics of proper running and also on how to safely warm up lower body prior to running. Kelly Cunningham is taking charge of the warm ups from here on out and will help the girls who were not there last night do the warm ups properly and help with the proper sprinting technique.  She is very familiar with the work that Jay taught last night and will start with it right away. Thanks Kelly...Im very happy you are here with us !!

Severna Park Hornets on Captain U

In an effort to further help all of our student athletes, the Severna Park Hornets 18U Elite is now officially registered in full and our entire roster and summer playing schedule have been updated.

Kelly Murphy AVON High School Playoff game

Kelly's HS team (Avon Grove) won today 5-0 in the PIAA State Playoffs over Central HS (Phila). The pitcher for Kelly's team threw a perfect game with 19k's. Next game Thursday vs Parkland HS (24-0). Avon Grove is 20-4.

Becca Borowski, Quinn Ursprung and Jenny Lynch Named to All County Second team

Congradulations to Becca Borowski of Patterson Mill High School and Quinn Ursprung and also Jenny Lynch of C.Milton wright High School for being named to Harford County All County Second Team for 2014.

Mildred Devereux to attend the Pennsbury Academic Softball Showcase

A huge shout out and pat on the Back to Severna Park Hornet Mildred Devereux. Milred was part of a handful of softball players accepted into the PENNSBURY ACADEMIC SOFTBALL SHOWCASE.




The Minimum for acceptance is a 3.5 GPA and a 1750 SAT score. Only the best Student Athletes are chosen.

MORGAN BURKE WAS SELECTED ON JUNE 5. 2014 TO REPRESENT THE STATE OF MARYLAND AT THE CONGRESS OF FUTURE MEDICAL LEADERS TO BE HELD ON NOVEMBER 14,15,AND 16TH , 2014, IN WASHINGTON D.C. SHE WILL ATTEND THIS EVENT.

THE CONGRESS OF FUTURE MEDICAL LEADERS IS A HIGHLY SELECTIVE NATIONAL PROGRAM HONORING ACADEMICALLY SUPERIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS DEDICATED TO THE SERVICE OF HUMANITY IN MEDICINE.

SHE WILL MEET WINNERS OF THE NOBEL PRIZE, AWARD WINNING YOUNG INVENTORS AND SCIENTISTS, PROMINENT MEDICAL SCHOOL DEANS AND LEADERS OF MEDICINE.

The Severna Park Hornets 18 U elite Softball Team 's new brochure is working to develope a new brochure to be handed out to prespective College  Coaches during their summer tournaments.
